About Me

I am a passionate educator with over 32 years of experience teaching in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.  I am certified teacher in Elementary Education, Middle Grades Math, and Special Education across multiple states. Throughout my career I have worked with students of all ages, from elementary to high school. In addition to my extensive classroom experience, I have spent the past 2 years teaching and tutoring online.

My teaching philosophy centers on building a strong foundation in math. Through my experience, I have seen how a lack of foundational skills can create significant challenges in higher-level math like algebra and geometry. That is why I created Freedom2Aspire Tutoring - to help students develop the critical skills they need for success in both high school graduation requirements and college coursework.

Specializing in Foundational Math and Dyscalculia

In addition to general math tutoring, I specialize in tutoring students with dyscalculia, a learning disability that affects math skills. My experience teaching students with disabilities allows me to identify and address foundational skill gaps which will set up students for future success.

My passion goes beyond just teaching math. My goal is to empower as many students as possible across the country. To achieve this, I'm actively working to establish scholarships to assist students who would not otherwise be able to afford tutoring services.
